Dan Toussant provided Rea with some outstanding human resource counsel and leadership in the nine years that I worked with him. He led the recruitment effort for our firm, in which the firm consistently achieved its recruitment goals. He influenced many of our younger staff to support and engage in recruiting quality professionals to the firm, and he often made the difference in closing the deal with experienced candidates that we wanted to hire. He led a number of HR initiatives from an innovative mentoring program to a two-year leadership development program for young partners to a firm-wide performance appraisal system that he later upgraded to a performance coaching system. His counsel regarding people issues was always very helpful to me. He also performed some valuable HR services for our clients from recruiting CFO’s and controllers to assessing organizational issues and recommending changes to the handling of people issues for clients.
